A sandbox technique by Google: topmost factor for higher ranking
Any new venture or business needs proper planning, accurate market study, able guidance or support. Every company has various departments which carry out these duties very well. From studying the market trends to launching a finished products, an array of activities are carried out by different teams or individuals at different stages. An accumulative result of their activities is reflected once the finished product is launched into the market. This is a case of traditional marketing planning, manufacturing and then marketing. In addition to this traditional case, one more aspect joins hand, which is SEO marketing. This factor becomes very important, as a global market is targeted by breaking the territory barriers. This grants a whole new perspective to the business. Website creation, application of various techniques to attract the visitors and gain more profit were basic internet marketing criterion. With time there were developments and new techniques were introduced and applied. A new science of SEO marketing came into existence. Google being one of the most top searched engines took the responsibility to introduce many new techniques, which organically or naturally placed a site among the top sites.
March 2004 was one of the mile stones in Google’s history with the introduction of Google Sandbox. This is a technique used for filtering the site and giving competitive ranking. This filter is also referred as “aging delay” meaning storing a web site for certain period of time for checking on its link weight and competitive term ranking. According to this a site has to prove itself to be worthy of higher ranking by being able to not produce numerous back links or should be weighed well based on the keywords. Many times new sites spammers create various back links which actually increases the length of site unnecessarily and get way to the spammers. This reduces ranking and visibility of a site. This factor is observed by keeping the site in store for the period 2-8 months, if the domain and back link length remains same then the filter is lifted. Another filter is set at highly commercial key words to check their weight. This lasts for 6 months.
There are other search engines like Yahoo implements this filter, but for limited period and MSN does not have this filter at all. But it is always recommended to verify the site from every angle, to be effective and efficient for SEO marketing.
